The Well-Being Program (WBP) provides accessible mental health services for Deaf, Hard of Hearing, & Deaf-Blind people of all ages throughout the province of British Columbia. We are not a crisis service.
Once the WBP has received a referral, an initial screening appointment will be set up. During this screening, information will be gathered about the person and their areas of need to determine if they meet the program mandate.
In some cases, the WBP may not be the right fit, which we will make recommendations or a referral to another community agency/organization.
Child and Youth
Our services are offered in-person and virtual.
Adults
Our services are confidential and free of charge to eligible people.
Older Adults
Our office is culturally sensitive and accessible for all communication needs and modalities such as ASL, oral, written or pro-tactile.
Education
The WBP offers educational services in the form of workshops and groups.
Community Support
The WBP offers Community Support services via Outreach Workers.
Limits of Confidentiality
All of the WBP staff have completed in-depth training to keep client information private & confidential.
